What is the GC MyPage Portal?

The GC MyPage Portal contains information about Grayson College as well as single sign on access to Campus Connect (GC’s student information system) and Blackboard (GC’s learning management system). When you click the GC MyPage Portal link on the Grayson College homepage, you can search for courses, access your courses inside Blackboard, register for classes, check your financial aid, pay your bill, and locate general information about the college, such as advising, admissions, and student life.

 
How do I retrieve my username to log into the GC MyPage Portal?
  • Click on the GC MyPage Portal link on the GC homepage
  • Click the yellow Help tab
  • Locate the box labeled, Email Username, and enter either your student id or your social security number
  • Click the Email Username button.

Your username will be emailed to the email address on file with the college. Allow up to five minutes for portal@grayson.edu to email your username and check your spam or junk mail folder for the portal@grayson.edu email if it doesn’t appear in your inbox. If you didn’t provide an email address, you may call the Help Desk for assistance.

 
How do I retrieve my password to log into the GC MyPage Portal?

Your password will be the last four (4) digits of your social security number. When those last four digits start with one or more zeros, you must drop all leading zeros and enter the last three, two, or one digits of your social security number.

You can also have your password reset and emailed to you:

  • Log into the GC MyPage Portal
  • Click the yellow Help tab
  • Locate the box labeled, Reset Password, and enter your username, email address, and last four digits of your social security number
  • Click the Reset Password button.

Your new password will be emailed to the email address on file with the college. Allow up to five minutes for portal@grayson.edu to email your new password. You should also check your spam or junk mail folder for the portal@grayson.edu email if it doesn’t appear in your inbox. If you didn’t provide an email address, you may call the Help Desk for assistance.

 
I requested that my username be emailed to me, but the email never came. What happened?

Your username will be emailed to the email address on file with the college. Please allow up to five minutes for portal@grayson.edu to email your username. Often the emails from portal@grayson.edu are routed into either your Spam folder or your Junk Mail folder, so check those folders before you call the Help Desk .

 
How can I update my email address?
  • Log into the GC MyPage Portal
  • Click the Personal Info link at the top of the page
  • Choose the Account Info tab and enter your email address in the box labeled Email
  • Click Save

OR

  • Log into the GC MyPage Portal
  • Click the yellow Help tab
  • Locate the box labeled Update Your Email Address
  • Type your email address in the space provided
  • Click the Updatebutton

LOGGING IN TO CANVAS

How do I log into Canvas?

First you must  log into the  GC MyPage Portal , then click the Canvas icon on the portal home page. Your Canvas username and password are the same as your Portal username and password.

How do I access my Internet or Hybrid course?

First you must  log into the  GC MyPage Portal , then click the Canvas icon on the portal home page. 

 
I’ve logged into Canvas, why can’t I see my upcoming courses listed?

By default, you won’t see your courses inside Canvas until the first day of class unless your instructor makes his/her course available early.

 
What do I have to do to start my Internet class?

Once you’ve logged into Canvas, click on the course you want to access and locate and read the course syllabus and any other instructions located inside that course.

 

SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS, BROWSERS, AND PLUGINS

It is the student’s responsibility to have access to a computer with a reliable Internet connection and a computer that is compliant with recommended browsers and settings in order to effectively utilize Canvas. In order for Canvas to function properly, your computer must have the latest updates and plugins.

What is Campus Connect?

Campus Connect is GC’s Student Information System providing access to your college records, and it’s also where you register and pay for classes. Campus Connect allows you to view your financial aid status, unofficial transcripts, class schedule, grades, and billing.

 
How do I access Campus Connect?
  • Log into the GC MyPage Portal
  • Click the yellow Academics tab
  • Click on the Campus Connect icon

 
How do I register for classes?
  • Log into the GC MyPage Portal
  • Click the yellow Academics tab
  • Click on the Campus Connect icon
  • Click the Add/Drop Courses link
  • Select the semester you wish to enroll in, choose the department, then click List Courses.
  • Select the course you wish to enroll in and click the Addbutton to the right of the course information.

How do I pay for my classes?

To pay online:

  • Log into the GC MyPage Portal
  • Click the yellow Academics tab
  • Click on the Campus Connect icon
  • Select the Pay/Review Account link
  • Select the corresponding Term Code
  • Click Submit
  • Select Pay in Full by Credit Card and enter the credit card information
  • Print the confirmation page for your records

To pay by phone or in person:

Call the business office at the main campus at 903.463.8601 or 903.463.8602 to pay with a credit card over the phone. You can also pay in person at the business office at the Main Campus or at the South Campus.


How can I find out what textbooks I need to purchase?

  • Click on the GC MyPage Portal link on the GC homepage
  • Click the yellow Academics tab
  • Locate the GC Course Search
  • Enter the appropriate search information
  • Select the correct Term
  • Click Search
  • Textbooks can be located by clicking the textbook icon  in the last column of the search results

  • Go to the GC  homepage
  • Click the Bookstore link under Campus Offices
  • The Grayson College Bookstore website will open. Click on the Textbooks & Course Materials link to begin your search

How can I find my course syllabus?

  • Click on the GC MyPage Portal link on the GC homepage
  • Click the yellow Academics tab
  • Locate the GC Course Search
  • Enter the appropriate search information
  • Select the correct Term
  • Click Search
  • Course syllabus can be located by clicking the  next to the instructor’s name in the search results
